Dunkin Brands Group Inc. (DNKN) is planing to return back to the U.K. and expand 50 franchised location to London in the next five years. It pulled out its franchise restaurant from the U.K. since mid-nineties but now Donuts chain restaurant feels that not it's a great opportunity for Dunkin's Donut to take its market share back from the rival Kripy Kreme Doughnuts (KKD) which take over the market share in the U.K. Dunkin Brands Group Inc. is focusing on expanding its restaurant in the U.S. and improve the ice cream shops Baskin-Robbins. So far Dunkin is doing really well. The second-quarter profit was up because of lower cost boosted result. Dunkin' Donut has 4.73 billion market cap which is larger than Krispy Kreme. However, Krispy Kreme's P/E is almost twice more than Dunkin. I think it's not be so hard for Dunkin's Donuts to break it in the U.K. market but I just don't know how well that's all. I actually prefre Krispy Kreme over Dunkin and wish that Krispy Kreme will have more location in the U.S.
